LEARNING OBJECTIVES

The overarching goal is to provide attendees with up-to-date knowledge regarding pulmonary embolism (PE) and pulmonary arterial hypertension (PAH). Specific objectives include: 1) To understand how to optimize CT pulmonary angiography protocols; 2) To know the potential benefits and risks of various tests for imaging pregnant patients with suspected PE; 3) To be aware of CT approaches for lung perfusion imaging in patients with suspected PE; 4) To be familiar with how to recognize right heart dysfunction in patients with acute PE; 5) To recognize the potential for overdiagnosis of pulmonary embolism using CT pulmonary angiography; 6) To understand the imaging features of PAH; and 7) To recognize the imaging features of chronic PE.
