Review the spectrum of non-traumatic biliary emergencies using a multi-modality imaging approach. The appropriate imaging evaluation in non-traumatic biliary emergencies is detailed, with a discussion of protocol considerations, including emerging concepts such as, the use of state of the art MDCT technology and hepato-biliary contrast agents.

     1. Review appropriate uses of different modalities for the imaging evaluation of non-traumatic biliary emergencies.
2. Illustration of the manifestations of biliary emergencies, including stone disease, inflammatory and infections biliary pathologies, as well as complications of biliary emergencies.
3. Protocol considerations of emerging concepts in non-traumatic biliary emergencies including the use of MDCT technology in these diagnoses as well as the use of hepato-biliary MR contrast agents.

This educational exhibit reviews the imaging findings in non-traumatic biliary emergencies. The multi-modality imaging approach to biliary emergencies is detailed, including the appropriate imaging triage. This includes emerging concepts in biliary emergencies including the use of hepato-biliary MR contrast agents.
