1. Understand the basic principles of PEM. 2. Describe the differences between PEM and PET. 3. Clinical indications for PEM. 4. Depict variants of 18 FDG uptake and it’s histopathologic correlation, as well asto describe the spectrum of imaging findings of diverse breast pathological entities. (Staging detection of breast cancer is crucial for an effective treatment. PEM provides complementary information to mammography being a functional noninvasive imaging method with a higher spatial resolution detecting lesions measuring less than 2 mm.
