-Pleural mesothelioma is a rare neoplasm with high mortality. Asbestos exposure is decreasing but the incidence is expected to increase due to past expositions.
-Radiologists must be aware detecting and managing malignant pleural thickening or effusion to avoid delays in diagnosis and treatment.
- We observed that sarcomatoid mesothelioma is more aggressive that epithelioid mesothelioma, as different clinical studies suggests, and they have different radiological appearances
-CT-guided biopsy is a good diagnostic technique, with similar performance to VTC with lower rate of track seeding.
-New TNM allows some patients who would had received a palliative treatment before, at the present time may opt for a treatment with curative intent.
