TEACHING POINTS

Sometimes there are intraaxial-looking masses, which are turned out to be meningeal mass, whereas there are conventional meningima-looking mass, which are turned out to be unusual meningeal lesions.  To discuss MR and pathological features of these intraaxial-looking meningeal masses and conventional meningioma-looking unusual meningeal lesions Unusual meningeal masses are often misdiagnosed as being malignant intraaxial masses or conventional meningioma or even extracerebral hematoma because of their various mimicking features. To understand the clinical, MR and pathological features of them help the accurate diagnosis and the appropriate treatment.
