TEACHING POINTS

To review the International Society for the Study of Vascular Anomalies (ISSVA) classification system of vascular tumors and malformations and stress the importance of using proper nomenclature. To review the natural growth patterns of common vascular anomalies. To present a systematic reliable approach to classifying soft tissue vascular anomalies based on clinical presentation, ultrasound imaging and magnetic resonance imaging.
