The purpose of this exhibit is:
To review the pathophysiology and genetics of mucopolysaccharidoses (MPS)
To describe the typical imaging features of different types of MPS, particularly in brain and spine
To show illustrative neuroimaging findings in magnetic resonance imaging (MRI),computed tomography (CT) and X-ray of confirmed cases from the Radiology and Genetic Divisions of our hospital
• Introduction
• Genetics and pathophysiology of MPS
• Neuroimaging findings in MPS, particularly in brain and spine
- MRI
- CT
- X-ray
• Clinical correlation with imaging features and discussion of physiopathologic mechanisms
