1. Recognition of key imaging findings of acute conditions in oncologic patients that allows prompt diagnosis and facilitates treatment, reducing morbidity and mortality with consequent better outcome in this group of patients.

Central nervous system: compression of the spinal cord, hernia and carcinomatous meningitis.
Thoracic: Obstruction of the central airway, esophageal fistula, pulmonary embolism and superior vena cava syndrome.
Abdomen: Pelvic abscess, intestinal obstruction and perforation, intra-abdominal hemorrhage, intestinal ischemia, intussusception and obstruction of the urinary tract.
