The purpose of this exhibit is:
1- To illustrate gallbladder normal anatomy and congenital abnormalities
2- To describe typical findings and differential diagnosis for most frequent benign and malignant gallbladder diseases
Introduction, normal anatomy and congenital abnormalities
Description of benign entities: acute and chronic cholecystitis, xanthogranulomatous cholecystitis, adenomyomatosis
Description of malignant entities: gallbladder carcinoma, metastases
Imaging findings for differential diagnosis
Example cases using MDCT and MRI with histologic correlation
