TEACHING POINTS

• Minimally invasive procedures increasingly replace open surgery and reduce the need for general anesthesia. • Although interventional radiology treatments offer less risk, pain and recovery time when compared to open surgery, patients nonetheless may be anxious about them and their outcomes. • The aim of this exhibit is to explain physician etiquettes, assessment methods, environmental factors, communication techniques, and recent research findings to reduce patient anxiety and improve overall experience in the interventional practice.
