TEACHING POINTS

By viewing this exhibit, the learner will: 1. Appreciate the importance of congenital hand anomalies which, although rare, present a unique physical and emotional challenge for children and their parents. 2. Gain a basic understanding of the normal development of the upper limb and what goes wrong to cause hand anomalies. 3. Understand which congenital hand anomalies are most commonly imaged. 4. Appreciate the classification systems and important imaging issues for the more common congenital hand anomalies.
