TEACHING POINTS

The purpose of this exhibit is: 1. To review the normal bone and joint anatomy in children and highlight differences to imaging in adults. 2. To discuss the sonographic findings associated with septic arthritis, osteomyelitis, pyomyositis and soft tissue infection in children. 3. To correlate ulatraound imaging with MRI findings. 4. To explain when further imaging with MRI is useful.
