The purpose of this exhibit is:
1. To review classification, pathophysiology, and epidemiology of placenta accreta.
2. To illustrate five sonographic signs of placenta accreta, with attention to associated pitfalls and criteria for adequate ultrasound images.

1. Low implantation in 1st trimester
2. Placental lakes
3. Myometrial thinning
4. Interrupted serosa
5. Abnormal color doppler.
