1. To discuss the various forms of non-surgical management for unresectable hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) with vascular tumor thrombus (VTT). 2. To present HCC with VTT cases demonstrating various treatment techniques, complications, responses and survival.

A. Epidemiology of HCC with VTT B. Various non-surgical treatments for HCC with VTT, including transcatheter arterial chemoembolization (TACE), transcatheter arterial embolization (TAE) using gelatin sponge cubes only, radiotherapy combined with TACE or TAE, hepatic arterial infusion (HAI), and systemic chemotherapy C. Interventional management of complications caused by VTT, such as portal obstruction and portal hypertension E. Cases. SUMMARY Our results of both HAI and radiotherapy combined with TACE for HCC with VTT suggest that are tolerable and increase tumor response rate. This exhibit reviews a. The methods of management and outcomes by interventional procedure for complications caused by VTT.
