LEARNING OBJECTIVES

1) Understand the relevant anatomy of finger and thumb. 2) Review the most commonly encountered osseous and soft tissue injury patterns seen in traumatic finger injuries.

ABSTRACT

Hand injuries are common presentations in all emergency departments. Knowledge of injury patterns helps in identification of associated subtle and soft tissue injuries.Emphasis will be placed on clinical significance and treatment options. At the end of the course learners will have a comprehensive understanding of soft tissue and osseous injuries of hand.
