TEACHING POINTS

1. To acquaint the reader with the selection of the appropriate imaging modality (including radiography, MRI, CT and ultrasound) in the evaluation of patients with chronic wrist pain based on the clinical scenario. 2. To discuss the etiologies in chronic wrist pain and their imaging features. 3. To describe a differential-based imaging approach in wrist pain and swelling with the use of case examples. 4. Brief discussion of the expanding role of advanced wrist imaging in inflammatory arthritidies.
