TEACHING POINTS

1. To review various cardiac imaging findings that one may see on non-gated chest CTA in Emergency Department (ED) patients and demonstrate case examples. 2. To raise radiologist awareness and understanding about these findings to help expedite diagnosis.

1. Introduction 2. Background, including review of cardiac anatomy 3. Describe potential cardiac findings seen at non-gated chest CTA in the ED. Review imaging features and demonstrate imaging examples including findings related to: a. Myocardial wall - Myocardial Infarction - Assymetric Septal Hypertrophy b. Intra chamber - Thrombus - Mass c. Valvular - Pseudoaneurysm - Abscess d. Pericardium - Pericardial effusion/tamponade - Pericarditis e. Cardiac size 4. Conclusions
