The purpose of this exhibit is:
1. To describe the imaging manifestations of hepatobiliary and gastrointestinal oncologic emergencies and discuss the clinical implications of specific imaging findings.
2. To discuss the role of imaging and image-guided interventions in the management of these patients.
1. Introduction, etiopathogenesis and clinical presentation of hepatobiliary and gastrointestinal oncologic emergencies.
2. Role of cross-sectional imaging modalities (particularly CT).
3. Imaging spectrum of hepatobiliary and gastrointestinal oncologic emergencies (rupture, intra-tumoral haemorrhage, venous thrombosis, infection, intussusception and sequelae of mass effect including bowel and biliary obstruction etc).
