TEACHING POINTS

This educational exhibit is intended to convey the importance of imaging in the treatment of non-traumatic genitourinary emergencies. A gamut of cases illustrates multiple pathologic entities which, if not promptly diagnosed and treated, can be life threatening. Case examples, predominantly focused on the kidneys, urinary collecting system, prostate and scrotum, consist of multiple modalities including CT, ultrasound, radiography and MRI.
