SUMMARY

The major teaching points of this exhibit are: 1. In the era of Highly Active Antiretroviral Antiretroviral Therapy the understanding and recognision of Immune Reconstitution Inflammatory Syndrome (IRIS) is becoming increasingly important. 2. Radiological features may manifest as "unmasking" of opportunistic infections, paradoxical worsening of an existing infection or condition or may be atypical. 3. There is a role for the Radiologist in the management of IRIS primarily in image guided drainage and biopsy.
