Description of the high volume image guided injection technique - hydrostripping
Anatomy
Pathophysiology
Diagnostic imaging (US)
Treatment (technique, volume of saline)
Follow-up management (eccentric exercises)
Outcomes
Short case series with ultrasonographic examples of patients with Achilles or patella tendon pain. Patients are given hydrostripping and an eccentric rehabilitation program. We used the Victorian Institute of Sport Assessment (VISA) questionnaire for the assessment of pain and dysfunction pre- and post treatment.
To demonstrate the effectiveness of the hydrostripping technique for patella and Achilles tendinopathies in the general population and in athletes.
The importance of the concurrent use of a strict eccentric rehabilitation program
