PURPOSE/AIM

1. To review the various causes of macrodactyly 2. To demonstrate imaging features of macrodactyly 3. To become familiar with the characteristic imaging findings and their differential diagnosis  

CONTENT ORGANIZATION

1. Definition of macrodactyly 2. Clinical features and imaging findings in radiography, US, CT, and MR of various conditions associated with macrodactyly. The causes of macrodactyly are as follows; - Macrodystrophia lipomatosa - Fibrolipomatous harmatoma - Proteus syndrome - Tuberous sclerosis - Neurofibromatosis - Klippel-Trénaunay-Weber syndrome - Lymphatic malformation - Enchondromatosis 3. Summary of the key differential diagnostic points in macrodactly.  

SUMMARY

The major teaching points of this exhibit are: 1. Macrodactyly is a rare congenital anomaly which occurs in association with various causes. 2. To know the distribution of the gigantism and characteristic imaging findings is helpful for correct differential diagnosis of macrodactyly.
