To review benign intratesticular and extratesticular scrotal lesions that can mimic malignant lesions
To describe lesions in which a definitive diagnosis can be made with ultrasound and those which require further evaluation.
To discuss how imaging and clinical information can be used to differentiate benign from malignant scrotal lesions.

Epidydymal cysts
Hernia
While most benign scrotal lesions commonly encountered in daily clinical practice are definitively characterized by ultrasound, there remains some lesions which mimic malignancy. This pictorial essay reviews benign intratesticular and extratesticular scrotal lesions that can mimic malignant lesions. Emphasized are lesions in which definitive diagnosis can be made with ultrasound, those which require further evaluation, and how the imaging and clinical information can be used to help distinguish benign from malignant lesions.
