1. To understand Liver Imaging Reporting and Data System (LI-RADS) supported by American College of Radiology to match the diagnostic thought process of HCC.
2. To discuss the imaging features of HCC by LI-RADS.
3. To compare the image of HCC with those of other hepatic tumors, which confuse us by giving us similar images to HCC.
1. Pathology of HCC
2. Morphology of HCC
3 Component of HCC
a) Fibrous capsule, b) Septum, c) Mosaic pattern, d) Fat component
4 Classification of HCC
a) Borderline lesion, b) Early HCC, c) Advanced HCC
5. Other hepatic tumors, similar to HCC in the CT, MR, US
6. Diagnosis of malignancy degree by using CT, MRI with liver-specific imaging and Contrast US
7. The relation of imaging of HCC and LI-RADS; 5 grades from definitely benign (LR 1) to definite HCCs (LR 5)
The major teaching points of this exhibit are:
1. Basic points of HCC imaging are firstly presented.
2. Malignancy grading of HCC are also addressed.
3. The relation of imaging of HCC and LI-RADS is discussed by using contrast-enhanced images on CT, MRI and US.
