To show prevelance of the many types of Pulmonary veins variations and anomalies in new classification scheme with 64 slice Multi Detector Computed Tomography
783 patients underwent computed tomography angiography between January 2008 and May 2010. The group consisted of 402 male, and 381 female patients. CT data of patients were retrospectively reviewed to identify the PV anatomy of and determine anatomic variants and anomalies. Pulmonary veins in normal condition drained by left atrium with four 4 ostium. In right side 18 variations and in left side 8 variat ons were found. Also 0.12 %of patient had situs inversus totalis.,
Pulmonary veins in normal condition drained by left atrium with four 4 ostium. In right side 18 variations and in left side 8 variations were found. Also in 1 (0.12 %) patient situs inversus totalis, in 2 patients (0.25%) partial anomalous pulmonary venous return and in 1 (0.12) patient scimitar syndrome were found. For the success ablation and surgery without any complication, PVs anatomy should be known before the before the procedure. Our classification chart will supply guidance to physcians
