LEARNING OBJECTIVES

1) To identify and understand mechanisms and patterns of anterior cruciate ligament (ACL) injury. 2) To understand the value of MR imaging in the assessment of suspected ACL injury. 3) To learn how to optimize the MR imaging assessment of the ACL. 4) To identify the MR imaging appearance of complete and partial injuries of the ACL. 5) To understand the role of MR imaging in the evaluation of patients following ACL reconstruction. 6) To develop an approach to the MR imaging assessment of postoperative ACL graft reconstructions.
