PURPOSE/AIM

1. To understand anatomical details (boundary and communication) of the prevesical space. 2. To illustrate various pathologic conditions that occur in the prevesical space.

CONTENT ORGANIZATION

1. Umbilicovesical fascia. 2. Umbilicoprevesical fascia. 3. Definition of prevesical space. 4. Fluid collections in the prevesical space. 5. Extension of prevesical fluid collections.    --anatomic communication with adjacent space. 6. Various pathologic conditions in the prevesical space   : hematoma, metastasis, lymphadenopathy, leiomyosarcoma, urachal cancer.

SUMMARY

The prevesical space is the largest potential space in the pelvic extraperitoneal space. This space has complex anatomical details and communication with adjacent potential spaces. This exhibit will review the CT anatomy of this potential space and various pathologic processes that occur in this space.
