Chest x-rays in maximal inspiration or expiration are necessary in particular questions. It is difficult to acquire a chest X-ray in a crying infant when the infant appears to have achieved maximum inspiration or expiration. A computer program was created for training. Come and improve your skills.
The computer program shows a video clip of a crying baby in which the moment of deepest inspiration and expiration was determined in the single frame view. At normal video speed a simulation of a chest X-ray in inspiration or expiration is possible by pushing the space bar. The computer program stops the video and calculates the desistance of time to the optimal instant for a chest x-ray. Thus the computer program allows training of technicians to take a chest x-ray at a certain moment.
A training program for taking chest x-rays in inspiration and expiration in a crying child is demonstrated in the electronic presentation. Everybody can improve his ability to take a chest x-ray at an optimal moment in inspiration or expiration in a crying child in a manner similar to playing a computer game. The training should avoid needless additional x-rays and optimize the quality of chest x-rays in children.
