LEARNING OBJECTIVES

1) Reiew the definition of subsolid nodules. 2) Discuss interim guidelines for the management of solitary subsolid pulmonary lesions of varying sizes. 3) Discuss interim guidelines for the management of multiple subsolid pulmonary lesions.

ABSTRACT

While previous reports have focused on the management of solid lung nodules, guidelines for managing subsolid nodules (defined as either pure groundglass or mixed solid/groundglass) have been lacking. The purpose of this report will be to propose interim guidleines specificaly to cover the wide range of appearances of these lesions, both solitary and multiple.
