xrayhead MSK online (XMO) provides msk radiology content database management solutions based on the structuring of data by Radlex terminology. Structured data based on Radlex standardizes disease and anatomy term submission by collaborators, facilitates retrieval, and enables scalable cross-referencing among resources.
1. Architecture and interface: XAMP, AJAX, Javascript, extensibility, platforms
2. PACS style functions via J-viewer plug-in: scroll, scale, drag
3. Facilitating multi-author collaboration by using auto-suggest retrieval of Radlex terms to resolve variations in term entry
4. Using RIDs to develop domain specific applications:
- Google News: real-time table of contents, real-time automatic msk ddx generation based on anatomy ID, RadAtlas anatomy cross-referencing
xrayhead MSK online structures disease and anatomic data by Radlex terminology. Radlex terms can help residents learn standardized lexicon which promotes standardized communication and reporting. Radlex based data management systems may promote exchange of radiology data and empower radiologists’ collaborative clinical and scholarly activities.
