DIOCM functions in PhotoShop
1. System Requirement: Adobe PhotoShop Extended CS3(4).
2. DICOM Functions: PhotoShop is now equipped with DICOM functions for importing native DICOM images. These functions allow radiologists to prepare digital images for electronic presentations and manuscript submission directly from the source files preserving the highest the image quality.
3. Insider Tips: Users can also create movie loops from multiple DICOM files or a file with multiple DICOM frames.
Using Photoshop to prepare digital images is part of academic radiologist's daily routines. Traditionally, radiologic images acquired at the modality must be converted into other file formats such as BMP and JPEG before editing with PhotoShop. This conversion step is cumbersome and sometimes causing image quality reduction. Fortunately, based on radiologists request, PhotoShop is now equipped with DICOM functions. This exhibit demonstrates these new and useful functions with practical examples.
