Striated appearance of the testis is commonly seen with high frequency transducer sonography (HFTS). This appearance can be seen in normal as well as many disease states. The purpose of this exhibit is to expose radiologists to challenging cases in order to improve their accuracy of diagnosing testicular disorders with striated appearance.
The cases will be presented in a quiz format. Key differential diagnostic points will be highlighted in the discussion of each case. Following disease entities will be illustrated: 1) Normal testes.2) Age related changes in the testes. 3) Testicular fibrosis 4) infarcts 5) post radiation change 6) lymphoma and 7) Torsion-detorsion and 8) Orchitis.
