LEARNING OBJECTIVES

1) Describe the patient population who may benefit from thoracic cryotherapy, extending from chest wall to central lesions. 2) Describe patient pulmonary function considerations for eligibility, including tumor size and location. 3) Describe the image guidance and safety considerations for pulmonary cryotherapy, especially as it relates to tumor location and isotherms. 4) Describe any potential healing benefits of cryotherapy over traditional and/or heat-based ablation. 5) Understand factors affecting treatment recurrence rates and anatomic considerations for avoiding complications.
