LEARNING OBJECTIVES

1) Discuss current and future approaches to staging in NSCLC. 2) Evaluate approaches to optimize lung cancer therapy based on patient and tumor characteristics. 3) Summarize the data on the efficacy of adjuvant chemotherapy for patients with early-stage NSCLC. 4) Describe multimodality therapeutic approaches for patients with stage III NSCLC. 5) Discuss the current status of various chemotherapy combinations in the treatment of newly diagnosed and relapsed/refractory advanced NSCLC.
