LEARNING OBJECTIVES

1) To understand the available choices for patient management of hepatocellular carcinoma, including resection, transplantation, and ablation, intraarterial and systemic approaches. 2) To interpret the most recent data regarding the efficacy of each of these modalities in the context of case management. 3) To understand the controversies regarding indications and contraindications, and how to individualize recommended therapies based on specific case scenarios.
