1. To review the ten distinct types of SLAP lesions
2. To introduce a novel approach for remembering the complex SLAP classification system.
Content will include a brief review of SLAP lesions and a description of the ten distinct lesions. Illustrations and associated MR images will be displayed demonstrating a novel approach to recognizing and remembering the complex SLAP classification system.
The Snyder classification of superior labral lesions, superior labrum anterior posterior (SLAP), is relatively simple. However, modifications to the classification have led to expansion of the categories into ten distinct lesions. We have developed a novel approach for remembering this complex system based on the morphology of the lesion.
