PURPOSE/AIM

The purpose of this exhibit is to review the alignment of the adult foot. We will discuss and illustrate the following: 1. Pes Planus 2. Pes Cavus 3. Metatarsus Primus Varus 4. Hallux Valgus 5. Hallux Valgus Interphalangeus 6. Tailor’s Bunion

CONTENT ORGANIZATION

Diagrams and radiographs of the feet are used to illustrate: •calcaneal pitch •talocalcaneal angle •talar declination angle •lateral talar-1st metatarsal angle •talonavicular coverage angle •cuboid abduction angle •lesser tarsus angle •forefoot and metatarsus adductus angles •hallux valgus angle •proximal and distal articular set angles •1st intermetatarsal, metatarsophalangeal angles •Boehler's angle

SUMMARY

1. Assess alignment of the adult hindfoot and midfoot. 2. Assess alignment of the adult forefoot including preoperative evaluation for hallux valgus and Tailor’s bunion
