PURPOSE/AIM

The purpose of this exhibit is: - to demonstrate how feature-rich tools and open standards provide added value to e-learning experience - to present an interactive atlas of whole-body cross-sectional anatomy - to include cine-viewing of full image series and dynamic labelling of anatomical structures (Terminologia Anatomica)

CONTENT ORGANIZATION

- Presentation of the web site interface - 10 interactive anatomy modules: brain MRI, Petrous bone CT, Face CT, Chest CT, Heart CT, Abdomen and pelvis CT, Female pelvis MRI, Upper limb MRI, Lower limb MRI, Ankle and foot MRI - More than 1500 slices selected and labeled using Terminologia Anatomica - Learning assessment with self tests

SUMMARY

The major teaching points of this exhibit are: 1. Feature-rich content and e-Learning provide a new way of teaching medical imaging. 2. New tools allow for interactivity and cine-viewing of multiple image series on the world wide web. 3. A free atlas of whole-body cross-sectional anatomy is available on Internet : www.e-anatomy.org
