Imaging Based on Biologic and Microenvironmental Factors II: Angiogenesis

Refresher Courses

Presented on November 29, 2006
Presented as part of VI43: RSNA-NCI Interventional Oncology Series: Optimizing Oncologic Patient Care and Image-guided Intervention Based on the Biology of Cancer and the Microenvironment

Participants

Peter L. Choyke MD, Presenter: Researcher, General Electric Company Researcher, Koninklijke Philips Electronics NV Researcher, Becton, Dickinson and Company Researcher, Siemens AG

LEARNING OBJECTIVES

Understand the analysis of dynamic contrast enhanced (DCE) MRI studies of angiogenesis. Describe the role of DCE MRI in monitoring angiogenesis during clinical trials of angiogenic inhibitors. Compare the current low molecular weight contrast agents with new, higher molecular weight contrast agents in the assessment of DCE-MRI.
