Abstract: HTML The term "spotted spleen" has been used to describe the CT appearance of multiple hypodense nodules in the spleen. We would like to expand this terminology to include multiple focal splenic lesions on MRI. Its differential diagnosis includes important disease entities such as Hodgkin and non-Hodgkin lymphoma, leukemia, splenic metastases, infections usually in immune-compromised patients like, TB, MAI and fungal abscesses, sarcoidosis and benign tumors like splenic hemangiomas.     1) Illustrate the different appearances and etiologies of the "spotted spleen" and present a decision tree to narrow its differential diagnosis. 2) Discuss the potential role of fine needle aspiration (FNA) and core needle biopsy in the diagnosis of the spotted spleen.       Questions about this event email: mamendol@med.miami.edu
