Abstract: HTML The increasing reliance on cross sectional imaging has reduced the exposure of trainees in radiology to the technique of small bowel follow through. We aim to discuss the details of this technique. We will then put forward a systematic approach to interpretation of the images from this investigation. This will involve examination of small bowel calibre, thickness and regularity of folds, ulceration, nodules, filling defects, mesenteric impression, desmoplastic response and distribution of lesions. We aim to present a pictorial review of a variety of diagnoses that may be made on a small bowel follow through.     1. To discuss the technique of small bowel follow through. 2. To put forward a systematic approach to interpretation of images from this investigation. 3. To analyse characteristic patterns of a wide variety of small bowel disease states.       Questions about this event email: jonathon.andrews@bartsandthelondon.nhs.uk
