TEACHING POINTS• There is a wide range of patellar injuries and the radiologist must be aware of them, because a misdiagnosed can ends with femoro-patellar instability.• Computed tomography imaging substantially aid in the identification of patellar injuries on a qualitative and quantitative way. • Familiarity with imaging abnormalities and patterns of involvement in different patellar injuries allows the radiologist to suggest the correct diagnosis and impact management.
